Although our travel company is still relatively young, the origins of our name “Etoiles du Sud” go back more than 20 years. On safari on a high plateau in South Africa, toward dusk, the first bright star to rise in the Southern Hemisphere firmament was the South Star and its constellation. With some imagination at the time translated by a travel companion with foresight into “Etoiles du Sud.” With the addition that this was to be the name for if our founder ever started his own vacation home rental business in the south of France, at that time still a reverie.
